REIGNING Namibian Footballer of the Year Heinrich Isaacks will not be moving to African Stars as he still expects a response from South African first division side Jomo Cosmos, despite less than a week before the international transfer period closes.
Speaking exclusively to Windhoek Observer this week, Isaacks dismissed rumours of a possible move to the ambitious local outfit African Stars.

THE Namibia Rugby Union Sevens side will head out to Middelburg, South Africa as they prepare for the all-important 2013 World Sevens qualifiers slated for Morocco next month.
Rugby manager at the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) William Steenkamp says Namibia has confirmed its participation at the annual Middelburg Sevens Rugby and is looking forward to competing and putting up an exceptional performance.

ZIMBABWE proved too strong for Namibia in their 15th place play-off at the WEP Harris Oval in Brisbane on Thursday, where half-centuries to Ryan Burl and Matthew Bentley set up a 70-run victory for Zimbabwe.
Having chosen to bat, Zimbabwe were in trouble at 10 for 2 as Jason Davidson (3 for 26) removed both the openers, before Bentley and Kevin Kasuza (33) resurrected the innings.

KEETMANSHOOP – The annual Jeremiahs Christiaans’ Heroes Cup tournament, the biggest soccer tournament in the Karas Region, will kick off on Saturday and end Monday at the Joseph Stephanus Sports Field in Keetmanshoop.
The tournament, which was launched by Keetmanshoop Rural Constituency Councillor Jims Christiaan on Wednesday evening at the Women’s Action for Development (WAD) centre, is always held over the Heroes holiday with all first and second division teams in the Karas, Hardap, Khomas and other regions invited to participate.
