sports gold 14 sepTHE first ever Paralympic gold medal landed on Namibian soil hanging around Johanna Benson’s neck at the Hosea Kutako International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
A silver medal which Benson won at the T37 100m race in London earlier this month accompanied the famous gold medal.

WITH the Namibia Sport Awards set for 26 October at the Windhoek Country Club, organisers have still not managed to secure prize money for some categories.
The main sponsor of the awards, MTC, this week called on other local companies to come onboard and help it sponsor some of the prizes.
