PEOPLE used to make nasty jokes about lawyers equating them to ghouls and lower life forms. There appears across the globe to be an upbeat mood about the economic prospects of the African continent. Major titles, including Le Monde and Le Figaro in Paris, the Financial Times of London and the New York Times have in recent months dedicated stories speaking positively about Africa as an important frontier of economic growth. More specifically, Time magazine recently had a cover feature with the title, ‘Africa rising’.
