Perhaps too many people in Namibia have reached a defeatist level of poverty, anger and frustration where self-preservation and self-interest are their only driving forces. Parents are the deciding factor when it comes to religious instruction of their off-spring. Religion serves to build strong value systems in society – any religion. The less children hear about God, good and evil, the nearer and quicker they will move towards evil. Religion fills a very important vacuum in the soul, a vacuum that is wiped away by baptism. Those who believe know this The school is the centre where our children’s minds and eyes are opened to the word of God. It has been that way, it should be that way now, and it must be that way in future.

Our soccer ambassadors on the African continent this year are Black Africa and African Stars. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) organises several continental soccer competitions for African nations (e.g. Africa Cup Of Nations, African Nations Championship, African Youth Championship, etc.), as well as for African soccer clubs (e.g. CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, CAF Super Cup, etc.)

I have been mulling for a while about reading the book My Vision: Challenges in the Race for Excellence by the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. I eventually confiscated a copy of the book from a friend and been reading bits of it over the past two-three weeks.
