Johannes sets women’s national record

WINDHOEK – Namibian marathon runner Helalia Johannes ended 12th overall in the London 2012 Olympic Games women’s marathon race on Sunday.
Johannes clocked two hours 26 minutes and nine seconds (2:26:09), and broke the Namibian national record of 2:27:20 that she set in Vienna, Austria in April this year.
Her compatriot, Beata Naigambo, ended 38th overall in a time of 2:31:16.
