Special Advisor arrested on rape charges

front likoro 07 julyPOLICE on Monday arrested Vincent Likoro, the special advisor to the Minister of Lands and Resettlement, on charges of rape in Katima Mulilo, according to sources in the region.

When contacted for comment Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi could not confirm or deny the allegations.

“At this point I cannot comment or confirm until the suspect appears in court,” Kanguatjivi said.

The Regional Commander of the Namibian Police in the Caprivi Region, Commissioner Bollen Sankwasa, could also not confirm the arrest, because he was not in the region at the time.

“I heard something along the same line but cannot confirm as I am not in Katima. I am in Otjiwarongo as we speak,” Sankwasa said.
