front Ricardo 07 julyREIGNING Mr Gay Namibia, Ricardo Amunjera will head to Antwerp, Belgium at the end of this month to represent Namibia at the Mr Gay World pageant. Perhaps the most popular gay pageant in the world, the competition sees over a dozen contestants from all over the world taking part in the competition. The pageant will take place from 31 July to 5 August.

The competition seeks to identify ambassadors for gay and human rights around the world, which comes as second nature to Amunjera.

One of the interactive features of the competition is the People’s Choice awards that allow the general public to vote for their favourite contestants depending on his description of his favourite date.

Although Amunjera currently leads the race with over a 1,000 votes, he’s still not out of the woods yet.

He stands a chance of winning US$250 for himself and an additional US$500 for a charity of his choice. One lucky voter also stands a chance to win US$200.

The organisers will announce the winners on 3 August online as well as at the pageant.
