front vote Nam 26 juneNamibia’s representatives in the 8th season of Big Brother Maria Nepembe and Dilish Mathews are both on the chopping block this week after being nominated for possible eviction.

Seven housemates were nominated this week but only two of them will be evicted on Sunday having only been in the house for a month.

Maria is a 22-year-old student at the University of Namibia majoring in Psychology. Maria best known as the video vixen in PDK’s hit single ‘Dirty Kandeshi’ has a diploma in Public Relations and is a radio DJ.

No Namibian contestant had ever won the grand prize of the show since its inception 8 years ago.

Last year was however a close call when ‘Tjokola’ hit maker Lady May, who emerged as the third runner up in the competition.

Over the years we have seen many of the housemates crumbling under the pressure, some resorting to violence while others make their philandering and promiscuous ways known.

There have also been Namibian contestants who have withered under the pressure, and compared to them this year’s Namibian representatives have handled themselves with grace and poise.

Maria and Dillish have proven themselves worthy and up to the challenge because they have yet to disgrace the Land of the Brave.

It is in this vein that we urge everyone to vote for them and keep them in the running to win the grand prize of U$300,000. Not only that but their win is a win for the Namibian nation.

Other SADC nationals are also called on to support the two Namibians, as their win will also be a win for SADC.
