Namdeb has endorsed a culture where employees refresh themselves on important company aspects as part of ensuring a positive start to the year.
The practice of orientating and taking employees “back to basics” is aligned to living the Company’s STAR (safety, teamwork, accountability, respect) values through attending various business orientation sessions. The sessions cover various topics with a key focus on Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Security and Human Resources aspects. Line Managers across the business actively lead the sessions and encourage participation to ensure that their respective team members are revitalized. The information is also shared electronically which allows individuals to access it at any time.
Namdeb’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Pauline Thomas believes that the Company has the right focus and that the foundation is set when basics are in place. Thomas also reiterated that the practice forms part of ensuring that the Namdeb team is doing the right things today to ensure a better tomorrow.
