On a brief visit to the National Art Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) last week, the Windhoek Observer toured the facility with Snobia Kaputu, CEO of NAGN, and viewed the wonderful pieces currently on show at the gallery.  Kaputu outlined the gems in the NAGN collection and decried the lack of interest in the arts during economic crisis.

Winter is ending and I can no longer hide my ‘unfit’ bulges behind sweaters, vests, and jackets.  It is high time to think about increasing my exercise routine.

The Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SME Development (MITSD) and the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) hosted the first-ever viewing and networking experience for the Swakara carpet industry in Namibia last week on 16-17 August at the Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC), in Windhoek.   The naturally Namibian industry struggles to retain skilled workers and attract the investment needed for expansion.
