What’s hot and what’s not?

09 November 2018
Each week, the Windhoek Observer’s entertainment crew takes an insightful, yet amusing look at the performance and arts industry, lifestyle and fashion happenings in Windhoek and across the world,
and judges whether they are hot or not.
This week, we look at some of the outfits worn to recent events.
A hot matched set
What we like about this couple is the fact that they took the time to look great TOGETHER. They spent time choosing fabric and having their cute little summer outfits made of African textiles.  Their shoes even match!  How sweet!  African prints are fashionable at this moment. When you two attended the annual Windhoek Jazz Festival last weekend, you may have inspired other couples to wear matching outfits next year!
We are confused
We are really struggling to figure out what fashion statement this man on the stage was trying to make. This wild paisley print shirt did not match his pin-stripped square pants and brown shoes.   This is what happens when you dress in the dark. Next time, turn the lights on and look at what you are wearing before stepping into the public eye looking so comical.
Hey, those are great-looking, hot roses
Go roses, go! Oh, yes, we also like those roses on that nice skirt. Floral prints are trendy at this moment. This simple black top and a wide skirt are really one of those fashion statements that we like and we are pleased to see that you have done it perfectly. Well done – lock your closet doors, we love that skirt so much we just might creep into  your wardrobe and help ourselves!
