Each week, the Windhoek Observer’s Entertainment Reporter, Rinelda Mouton, takes an insightful, yet amusing look at the entertainment industry, lifestyle and fashion happenings in Windhoek, and judges whether they are hot or not.
This week we look at some of the outfits worn by Namibians to recent events.

Not hot in wide floral skirt
Hey you, that skirt is way too big and too long for you. It has swallowed you up and hides your figure and your nice legs. Your blouse doesn’t work well with the wide skirt either!  Normally a wide skirt must be worn with a tight top; again, this will accentuate your figure and your bust line.  You are young so stop dressing like an Ouma.  While we love the electric cobalt blue colour of the blouse, with this wildly coloured skirt, it would have been much better to wear a black, green or pink top instead of that blue one.  Make such a loudly coloured skirt the star of your outfit, don’t let its noisy print do battle with the blouse!

Not hot in confusing outfit
We do understand that you like both turquoise and blue, but you should be ashamed of yourself for putting yourself in this mess of a dress. Those two colours don’t fit together. Fashion must be fun, not boring. That black lace underwear showing in the V-neck was a big no.  UNDERwear has its name for a reason. So, please we beg you don’t ever show it in public again.

Beautiful Odile Gertze hot in many ruffles
Ruffles are everywhere this spring. We are also crazy about them in fashion this season. Odile, you always grace our pages with elegance.  We liked the three soft coloured ruffles in this dress. There’s white, light pink and light blue. WOW! We are a huge fan of handmade earnings and were pleased to see that you were wearing a pair. We give you two thumbs up for this hot outfit!
