24 May 2017

According to a recent report by The Investor, that Apple and Samsung have signed a deal where the iPhone 9's OLED panels will be sourced from the South Korean tech giant. Rumours are rife that Samsung will be providing 80 million OLED panels for this year's iPhone 8, and the latest report suggests the shipment to be doubled to 180 million units for iPhone 9 next year.

So yes, it looks like the iPhone 9 will sports a much bigger display compared to the current 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions.

While the Apple iPhone 9 is still some time away, rumours around the iPhone 8 have been going strong.  Marking the tenth-year anniversary of iPhone, Apple is expected to launch three iPhone models in September this year. One of them is going to be the premium iPhone 8, while the other two models – iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus – will come with essential upgrades.

While iPhone 8 will have a 5.8-inch OLED display, Apple will likely to introduce a display with reduced bezels on the front and side, and this will ensure that the size of this iPhone won’t be actually go up. Apple is expected to introduce an all glass body for the iPhone 8, getting rid of the aluminium chassis.
