The 9th Session of the Namibia-Zimbabwe Joint Commission of Cooperation (JCC) held a ceremony marking the closing of their discussions on Tuesday afternoon, July 23rd at a local hotel in Windhoek.

Amidst laudatory speeches of mutual thanks, there was no announcement about the substance of anything completed in the negotiations held prior to the state visit of the Zimbabwean President this week.

The JCC was held to review the implementation of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding in various areas.  Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation co-chaired the Joint Commission with Retired Lt. Gen Sibusiso Moyo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe.
The signing of official 9th agreement is scheduled to take place during the state visit of the Zimbabwean President, Emmerson Mnagagwa, 24-26 July 2019.
