Embattled City of Windhoek Chief Executive Officer, Robert Kahimise, is set to challenge his suspension in the Labour Court, his lawyer, Patrick Kauta, said on Tuesday.
Kauta said this minutes after High Court Acting Judge, Collins Parker, said Kahimise’s application had not met all the requirements for an urgent hearing.
Kahimise, who was suspended without pay on 5 November, is accused of having abused his position after he received a study loan in hard currency without authorization from councillors.
He, however, maintains that his removal from office was unlawful and politically motivated.
