nbc threatens job cuts

Perennial loss-making State-owned broadcaster, nbc, is said to be considering shedding some jobs, the Windhoek Observer has established. 
Sources at the national broadcaster said this week that Director General, Stanley Similo, told staff members on Monday that management is considering retrenching some of the employees in order to cut costs.

Broke nbc splashes on booze

Cash-strapped public broadcaster, nbc, recently spent at least N$165,000 on booze and food at a year-end staff function held at the Windhoek Country Club & Resort, a day after receiving an N$80 million bailout from the Government.
