Namibian Police Deputy Commissioner, Edwin Kanguatjivi, confirmed the accident, but could not provide further information.

“An eight-month-old child, the only survivor of the horrific accident, was taken to hospital in a critical condition. the names of the deceased persons will be made available later as the families are not yet informed about their untimely deaths,” Kanguatjivi said.
