Kidz Fun Fair
BANK Windhoek will hold their fourth annual Kidz Fun Fair on Saturday and Sunday (4-5 August).
This year the bank organised the event in collaboration with Limelight Event Marketing. The two-day fair will take place at the SKW sports grounds in Olympia.
The Fun Fair that boasted 12,500 visitors last year expects to be bigger this year, attracting even more visitors.
The fun fair has gained plenty of popularity because it provides the entire family, both young and old, with ‘edutainment’.
South African music sensation Anthonie Bougas will also perform at the fair together with Nadine Baas. Bougas will also be the MC at the event.
Bank Windhoek has organised a wide variety of entertaining activities to keep the kids busy throughout the fair.
It will hold a costume competition for kids ranging from the ages 3-6 and 7-9 where the winner receives a prize of N$2,000 and the runner up N$1,000.
The “Bank Windhoek Zone” will feature the bank’s Solo inflatable branch and a jumping castle for the little ones while staff members keep the parents busy by informing them about their Solo banking product.
The “Bank Windhoek Kids Sport Zone” will host both informal and formal sporting events for the kids such as volleyball, beach soccer and golf.
Three years ago, the bank launched its “Bank Windhoek Bizzkids” competition that gives kids with great business ideas the opportunity to show their skills and sell their products.
The fun fair will have this year’s top ten BizzKids at the fair selling their products and the judges will announce the winners on Sunday at 13h00.
There will also be an Art Zone at the fair, where Studio 77 will have a photographic mobile studio where visitors can have their photos taken.
The Potters’ Association of Namibia will also be there to help children create their own unique pottery.
Business organisations have booked stalls to showcase their products and keep the adults entertained. This is a lucrative opportunity because it boosts sales and helps attract potential customers.
Gates open at 09h00 on both days but close 17h00 on Saturday because the events end at 18h00 and on Sunday the gates close at 15h00 with the fair ending at 16h00.
Tickets for adults sell for N$40, while tickets for kids between the ages of 2-16 sell at N$20.
